Parked up hill won't start but starts parked down hill. Short of going in the fix is to keep more fuel in the tank. Senders agree fuel is there but pump can't get at it.

Sometimes Simply Replacing The Fuel Filter Will Resolve This Problem.

When you turn the key through run to the start position the fuel system pressurizes. Here are eight possible reasons your car won’t start. This happens to me too, if i'm on a steep incline, my gas gauge drops a good amount depending on how steep the hill is.

The most common is that your fuel pump is either wearing out or there is debris stuck in fuel lines or the fuel filter. A more elaborate fix is put the car up and down the recovery truck. It is very possible the stepper motor behind that particular gauge is going bad.

If The Starter Motor Doesn’t Crank And The Lights Are Dim Or Don’t Come On At All, The Battery Is Dead Or Close To It.

If facing downhill, will the car start in neutral (park brake on of course)? Get a fuel pressure guauge. I think you have a little less gas than you claim to have in your tank when this happens.

My a3 starts but won't run. They have a cp3 mounted on the engine that pulls fuel to it and pressurizes it before sending it to injectors. The problem doesn't occur if the car is restarted immediately, regardless of whether parked uphill/downhill/flat.

The key cylinders wear out over time and can need to get replaced. If your fuel pump is weak it can't draw hard enough to pull the fuel up. We get trucks towed to my dealer all the time for this!
