Once Its Out Of Park The Button And Shifter Move Freely Between All Gears And Transmission Shifts Fine But Once In Park The Button Cannot Be Depressed Enough To Get It Back Out.
Based on the age of the car, i’ll bet the brake interlock switch is the culprit. The manual says a problem is developing with the car, but didn't say what. Sent from my pixel 2 using tapatalk

Last night i could not get the release button on the shifter to release when i stepped on the brake. The hondas' use a shift lock solenoid that releases and allows the lever to be moved out of park, ( but only when you step on the brake). Adjust or replace the brake interlock switch, which is under the dashboard, and contacts the brake pedal.
The Cause Is Either A Bad Brake Switch And No Brake Lights.
